The given line graph depicts the participation trends across five different categories at a social centre in Melbourne, Australia from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, film club remained the most popular area throughout with maximum participation. While table tennis gained popularity over the years, public interest in amateur dramatics declined. Interestingly, martial arts category was able to retain the number of participants despite fluctuations.
The film club had more than 60 members in 2000, and even after fluctuating over the 20 year-period, this figure was almost the same in 2020. This was followed by martial arts that started with around 35 participating members, and even after periodic ups and downs, the number was more or less the same in 2020.
Amateur dramatics had a group of nearly 25 participants initially, but after a rise in 2005, this value plummeted to almost 5 by the final year. In sharp contrast, table tennis witnessed a sudden jump from around 20 participants in 2010 to a staggering figure of more than 50. Another category of musical performances had seen a moderate growth, starting from 0 in 2005 to nearly 20 in 2020.
